Tips for quick drying nail polish

In the beginning of it´s modern history, quick drying nail polish was probably an unattainable dream. Waiting for long time and blowing on your nails, sitting around unable to do anything for endless minutes until in dries, and that was only a first coat. And then again and again.

Over time, girls and women were not able to spend as much time waiting for their nails to dry, and thanks to technological progress we can now enjoy nail polish that dries so quickly, you can not even believe it. Of course, drying time depends also on thickness of the applied layer.

Nail polish dries by solvents, that helped mixing all the ingredients together, evaporating and leaving behind a colorful film that we enjoy.

Luckily over time it was possible to improve the nail polish formula, so that original solvents (i.e. toluene and acetone) were substituted by more gentle and safer solvents that need much less time to evaporate, i.e. ethyl acetate and butyl acetate.

However, please remember to tightly close the cap, so that there is no air accessing the nail polish in the bottle. Also, during the actual application of nail polish do not allow yourself to be interrupted and apply a layer on each nail by successive strokes. This will prevent uneven application.
